In total over 450 pupils attended 3 Eco Summit events for over 30 Primary and Secondary schools between Chichester and Shoreham in 2016!
We are looking to reach a similar amount of pupils again this year helping to spread the message that we all need to look after our wonderful earth, and sharing the Eco successes of many schools in West Sussex.
Also in 2016 we ran three competitions:
- Climate Change Art Competition (for Worthing & Adur Schools) sponsored by Shoreham Port and supported by The Ropetackle Arts Centre who held a week long exhibition in the Autumn
- Eco Christmas Tree Challenge (all school from Worthing & Adur, Arun and Chichester) sponsored by The Southern Co-operative
- Reuse competition (Chichester schools attending Eco Summit) sponsored by WWT Arundel
We would like to thank schools, workshop leaders, and local businesses for their support. We also would like to give a special thanks to Ernest Cook Trust for their grant received in Autumn 2015 which made our many of our 2016 achievements possible, and The Southern Co-operative for their ongoing support and sponsorship of the E.Y.E. Project.
We have produced a slideshow about 2016 and this is attached as a PDF document.
